今日も先週に続いてPHPのフレームワークCodeIgniterのお話です。
CodeIgniterを使った開発では、ActiveRecordを使ってデータベースに入ってい
る情報を取得したり挿入したり更新しています。
SQL部分の記述が短くなる、データベースの種類に依存しないで記述できる、自
動的にエスケープ処理をしてくれるので安全なクエリが生成できるメリットがあ
ります。
CodeIgniterのActiveRecordについては、CodeIgniterのユーザガイドを見ると基
本的な使い方がわかります。
説明がとても詳しいので、CodeIgniterのユーザガイドを見てください・・・。
で終わるはずですが、そうもいかない例があるのも事実です。
ということで、今日はCodeIgniterのユーザガイドに載っていないActiveRecord
の書き方をちょこっとだけ取り上げたいと思います。
まずは、以前CodeIgniterに関する記事を書いた時に取り上げた例です。
SQL使って、現在の時刻を取得したり登録したい時に、now関数や
current_timestampで現在の時刻をActiveRecordを使って取得する場合です。
例えばこのようなSQL文を
select id, name, current_timestamp
from tbl_example
ActiveRecordで書くと・・・
$this->db->select('id, name, current_timestamp()');
$query = $this->db->get('tbl_example');
current_timestampの部分をcurrent_timestamp()
と書かないとダメでした。。。
もうひとつ、テーブルが２つあった場合の書き方です。
例えばこのようなSQLです。
(例１）
SELECT *
FROM tbl_a, tbl_b
WHERE tbl_a.id = '1'
AND tbl_a.id = tbl_b.id
２つテーブルがあって２つのテーブルから条件にあったデータを取得したいとき
です。よく使われるパターンです。
しかし、CodeIgniterのマニュアルを読んでも、上記のSQL文に当たる
ActiveRecordがなくて、結局SQLはJOIN文を使って・・・
(例２)
SELECT *
FROM tbl_a
INNER JOIN tbl_b
ON tbl_a.id = tbl_b.id
WHERE tbl_a.id = '1'
にして、ActiveRecordを
$this->db->select('*');
$this->db->from('tbl_a');
$this->db->join('tbl_b', 'tbl_a.id = tbl_b.id');
$this->db->where('tbl_a', '1');
$query = $this->db->get();
で書くことが多いです。
しかし、（例１）のパターンに慣れきっている私は、
この程度で(例２）のようなJOIN文を使うのは気が引けるので・・・
例１のパターンを無理やりActiveRecordにしてしまいました・・・。
$this->db->from('tbl_a');
$this->db->from('tbl_b');
$this->db->where('tbl_a.id', 'tbl_b.id', FALSE);
$this->db->where('tbl_a.id', '1');
$query = $this->db->get();
いろいろ試してみましたが、これで例１のSQLを実行することができました！
ポイントはテーブルの数だけfromを指定し・・・。
異なるテーブルのIDを同じにする条件を入れる時は、第３引数にFALSEをつけます。
引数FALSEを入れないと・・・
where tbl_a.id = tbl_b.id
の部分が・・・
where tbl_a.id = 'tbl_b.id'
となってしまって、tbl_a.id の値がtbl_b.idのものと解釈されてしまいます。
なので、SQLは実行されるのに・・・あれ？データがない・・・と頭を抱えることにな
ります。
任意の場所にプロファイラを入れて実行したSQLを確認してみます。
$this->output->enable_profiler(TRUE);
SELECT *
FROM (`tbl_a`, `tbl_b`)
WHERE tbl_a.id = tbl_b.id
AND `tbl_a`.`id` = '1'
このようなSQLとなります。
CodeIgniterのプロファイラ機能はすばらしいですね。
ベンチマークとSQLの確認には欠かせません。
普通にSQLを書いていると、ActiveRecordはやっかいですが、慣れると楽しいで
すね。
ということで今日はおしまいです。
